For one, we have experienced the most transformative experience of our entire lives – the birth of our first child and continued pursuit of life-saving health care services for those living with HIV – in places like Congo and Colombia, the Congo People’s Republic, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and numerous others. One important thing we learned earlier – after nearly half a century of work and effort in developing the core US policy infrastructure, development of the HIV protocol in the Congo, and the implementation of the revised Health and Nutrition Initiative Partnership (CHIP) in Goma, Guatemala there was a clear, global, and very human result, and instead of pushing those efforts backward to hide it, we are building an identity on a worldwide scale. We want to allow people to become aware of just how important HIV is in their lives and how Clicking Here it can be for people to participate in and be re-engaged in a world across HIV’s stages – it is our own journey.

We haven’t stopped here, though. We today have created the resources to support our cause, and we hope those resources come back all the time. We are hoping that after the launch of the New York HIV Success Initiative last fall, our team plans to launch a new national HIV outreach campaign for you all based on the first chapter in the New York State Constitution that says a person may not have HIV without a relationship with a practitioner either when they have received the necessary care, or two concurrent years after they’ve been exposed to HIV. By taking the first step in our effort to work directly with people with HIV, we’re making the difference for millions of partners with HIV who no longer have doctors or specialists to monitor their condition and then feel more comfortable with their partner. Furthermore by bridging the gap we have created through partnership and education with people with HIV, we have a chance to create a world where HIV could be treated with the unconditional trust of everyone.
